Hollie's first hair cut

The other night we got chinese food for dinner. Hollie was dipping won tons in sweet and sour sauce. Next thing I knew she was telling me, "Mommy I got sause in my hair!" Her hair is so long that i just figured the end of her pony tail got in it. NOOOOO!!!! it was all on the back of her neck and up in her hair on the back of her head. How does that happen? So we finished dinner and went up to take a bath. When she got out I told her that we were going to have a hair cut. She started freaking out! She hates to have her hair washed or brushed and she knows when I put her up in the bathroom sink thats whats gonna happen. I told her it wouldn't hurt and to be very still. She did really good. I've been wanting to cut her bangs for a long time cause they are always in her face. I think she looks really cute. It totally changes her look and took a lot of staring at her to get used to it. This morning she told me that she didn't want her hair cut anymore. OOOOPS! I ended up cutting off 13 inches. Only her bangs. Non of the back.

Pouting

Trevor just started the "getting his feelings hurt" thing. For most part when i tell him no he puckers his lip and gets a really sad face and throws him to the floor or puts his head down on his hands. it is the cutest thing and i know it's bad of me but sometimes i try to make him do it. He is such a sweet little boy!.

Daddy's little girl

Hollie has really been clingy to her dad latley. She wants to be read to all the time. She's trying to paying attention in the top picture but the bottom one it looks like she is gonna be sneaky. Notice the bag of bagel chips in the top picture. About 15 minutes late Lance had gone out side and I was in the kitchen doing the dishes (again) and I heard the kids laughing and running around. I went out there to find the whole bag ALL over the carpet. thanks guys

Lance was out winding the hose and Hollie HAD to be out side with her daddy. So she went out to help. Notice her outfit. She got dressed all by HERSELF. It's finally starting!
I had to put this one of Trevor. I was taking pictures of Hollie and Lance and I hear trevor talking. I look over at him and he was trying to say cheese with a big smile on his face. So cute.

Happy birthday Mom and Jeff!

I meant to do a post for my moms birthday which was on the 9th of this month and just decided to do one to honor her and my brother Jeff who's birthday was yesterday. Last night we went to Red Robbin to celebrate. With all the fries and ranch we had a good time. Hollie and Trevor both like to dip their fries. NO ketchup, ONLY ranch.

Homemade salsa

I went to a baby shower and Karen Sterling brought homemade salsa. I had to get the recipe cause I loved it. I can eat chips and salsa all day.

Ingredients:

1 yellow pepper

2 green peppers

2 - 28 oz. cans of whole tomatoes

1 bunch of cilantro

2-3 bunches of green onions

1 tbsp of vegetable oil

1 tsp garlic salt

1-2 jalapeno peppers for spicyness (I can't handle spicy so I didn't use them at all. Next time I have to cause Lance loves spicy)

First boil all the peppers in water for 10 minutes.

Then just start adding a little of everything to the blender. Don't put it all in at one time. I used all the peppers, all the onions, all the tomatoes, and about half of the cilantro and the oil. The garlic salt is for flavor so feel free to use more as needed.

Tip: if it's to spicy add more tomatoes. If you decide to use the jalapenos get 3 cans of tomatoes.

My SWEET little girl!

How can such a cute little face have such a BOY mouth. Latley Hollie's thing is to spit, fluff, talk about poo poo and fluffs. I thought this was a boy thing. I guess it's partially my fault since I laugh at her sometimes when she does it. The other day we were visiting Lance's dad at the convelecent (sp?) home where he's staying and they were just getting done with lunch. I was out in the hall with the kids looking at the fish tank and they started wheeling all the old people out into the hall. I thought it was kinda sad that they wheeled them out and lined them up against the wall in a line. Anyway there was one lady that wasn't all there and and she kept spitting. Hollie kept looking at me and then at the lady and then at me and kinda laughed. I was just waiting for her to start spitting. Luckily she whispered to me, "Mommy can I spit too?" There is hope of it not happening in public.

My new project!

I really have a problem with buying presents for all occasions. I tell my self all the time, we don't have money and we ar not going to do any gifts for b-day, christmas, etc. But I just can't resist. It makes me feal good to give. Well my newest project that I am doing for gifts are big candy bars decorated with fun paper. They are so easy to make and the candy bars are less than $2.00. You can even go to the 99 cent store and buy the boxes that have candy in them and cover those. It's a cute and very inexpensive way to GIVE a gist.

All day yesterday I was so excited to have a good dinner out with my hubby. We were planning on Mexican and I could not wait. When Lance got home he said let's go to Ooka's. (sushi) Anyone that knows me knows i do not like ANY kind of food from the sea. But I love him so i said ok. Good thing they had chicken. It ended up being a really cool place. We only waited about a half hour.
Lance just started eating sushi and loves it. He had 3 rainbow rolls. shown in the picture above. and 2 tuna rolls. I had teriyaki chicken and white rice. I also got a sweet potatoe roll so I could feel like i was eating sushi too. Didn't get a pic of that tho. oh they also have the best strawberry lemonade. MMMM

Our little monkeys

I'm always so on the go and forget about these fast food play places.
After being in the hospital for a week and having to stay indoors until Trevor had his followup visit witht the Dr. (Which was today) The kids and especially me were so anxious to get out of the house. I had a lost of running around to do and my mother in law offered to be my taxi driver so that I didn't have to pull the kids out and put them back everywhere I went. By the end of the day we stopped at Mc Donald's and ate and the kids played for a good hour in the play place. I need to remember to about this place if I ever just need a break or need to get out. The kids are so entertained that I can just sit by myself and relax. Thanks Ronald!

Are you hungry?

Last night I made breaded pork chops and homemade macaroni and cheese. I have never really breaded meat with bread crumbs and wanted to try it. It turned out really good. Lance is the one that usually makes mac-n-cheese from scratch so it was my first attempt at it. Dinner was good. We also had green beans. If anyone wants the recipe I will share!

Do we look alike?

I was going through my pictures on the computer and came across these. My mom thought it would be a good idea to have Hollie take a picture in my dress that i wore when I was 2. Hollie was 2 also in this picture. I thought it was a good idea. Hollie is the pictures on the bottom.

Hospital food YUCK!

This past week we spent at the hospital from Monday night to Friday night. Last Saturday night at about 2:00 a.m. trevor woke up with a temperature of 103.1. Around 11:00 the next morning it was 104.0. We went ot urgent care because it was Sunday. They there found out her was breathing really roughly. They gave him a breathing treatment and said to call his doctor Monday morning. So monday somes and he still has a temperature of 103.1. So I finally get him into the doctor and they do two more breathing treatments. They didn't seem to work really well. He said that trevor was having an asthma attack. We have thought he had asthma but he's still so little that it wasn't for sure. (now it is). the doctor was concerned because he shouldn't have such a high fever from breathing hard. So he said we needed to go to the hospital. Once there they did a chest x-ray and found out that he has pnemonia also. Which caused the fever. So all week he has been on antibiotics and was given a breathing treatment every 4 hours. He had an I.V. also that he wanted out real bad. He was such a good boy the whole time. In a way I'm thankful for the temperature because I thought he just had a bad cough and it would pass. Little did I know he was having an attack. We are all home now and are good. The Doctor gave us a machine to give Trevor treatments here at home as needed. We are happy to be back to our normal life.

God made dirt and dirt don't hurt!

Today the kids were out side and I

went to see what they were up too and Hollie was mixing water and

dirt making mud and Trevor was

gagging on dirt. I know that God made dirt and dirt don't hurt so why doesn't it tast good!
