"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Kids are so cute!

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? (written by kids)You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.-- Alan, age 10
No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with.-- Kristen, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.-- Camille, age 10

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.-- Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?Both don't want any more kids.-- Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.-- Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure)
On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that Usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.-- Martin, age 10

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.-- Craig, age 9

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?When they're rich.-- Pam, age 7- *This is my personal favorite*The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.- - Curt, age 7
The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.-- Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.-- Anita, age 9(bless you child)

HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there?-- Kelvin, age 8

HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a dump truck.-- Ricky, age 10

Gone Fishin'.....Again

Did I mention that Lance had an obsession with fishing. He went AGAIN last night to the Huntington Beach Pier and caught a leopard shark. He said there was alot of people that caught them that night. It's not very big but he is so pretty. Trevor love to watch it. he also caught a star fish. Don't ask me how. but he well we will call it a she... she is really pretty too. she is like a purplish color.

Buzzzzzzz!

So the other day I decided to give Trevor a hair cut and at fist I was gonna buzz a mo-hawk but then decided to just shave it all off and suprise his daddy. Lance is always telling me to shave his head and i always said no cause I like to spike or give him the fo-hawk. Well i gave in and decided to buzz it all. I think he looks like a little boy now. He is just too cute. Now he REALLY looks like his Daddy!

It was a nice day!

Usually when it's nice outside which latley it has been I will open the door so the kids can go in and out when they want. the other day they were being really quiet so I snuck my head out to spy and they were both sitting on the bench talking to eachother. I got a couple of pictures of them with out knowing But then they caught on and then Hollie got mad.

Gone Fishin'

Lance has REALLY been addicted to fishing latley. His new favorite is fishing off Huntington beach pier. He doesn't catch much worth bringing home but check out the crab he caught. It was the ungliest thing. He was gonna try to cook it. but then it died and sat for a while and he then wasn't feeling it anymore.

I thought this was hilarious!

Sorry to anyone who recieved this as an email and are reading it twice!

A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed."Breast-fed," she replied."Well, strip down to your waist," the doctor ordered. She did. He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, andrubbed both breasts for a while in a very professionaland detailed examination.Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said,"No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk."I know," she said,"I'm his Grandma, but I'm glad I came."

I decided to go Brown!

So thank you to all who voted. Most people wanted me to stay blonde but I needed a change. I can't afford to keep having my roots dyed so I decided to get as close to my natural color as possible. Sorry for the bad picture. I will try to take a better one with better coloring.

So frustrated!

Hollie was doing so good with potty training that I thought she was good to go. Yeah no more diapers. NOOOOOOO!!!!! for the last week and a half she screams every morning when she wakes up and I take her pull up off to put underwear on. She will not wear them. If I do get them on then she screams to have a iaper put on so she can pee. It's driving me CRAZY!!! I know it's half my fault cause I give in and give her what she wants so that she will be happy. But her next birthday she will be 4, doing pre-school soon, she's not in nursery any more and in sunbeams. HELP!!!! anyone got any advice!

Coloring easter eggs!

I'm glad my mom decided to color Easter eggs with the kids. I wasn't going to do it cause I didn't want to deal with the mess! I'm mean I know! But Hollie really enjoyed it and can't wait to have them in her basket. Trevor just enjoyed peeling the eggs.

Fun at Gramma Cherie's house

Best spent $35.00

I'm always driving by garage sales looking for stuff that the kids can play with outside. They love to be out there and we have a little yard. Last week I drove by this house that had this play house along with some appliances in their front yard. The play house was so dirty it looked like they were throwing it away. I drove by at least 6 times trying to get the courage to ask if they were getting rid of it. Finally I was with my mother in law and we drove by and still didn't have the courage so she offered to do it. The lady said that is was her daughters and that she would call me later that night. Well I never got a cal and was sad that it didn't work out. The next day I DID get a cal and she said she would sell it to me for 35.00. I said I'll take it. The kids love it and I have to drag them in the house. They stay out there for a long time. I see these in the paper all the time for 50.00 and of course brand new they are over 100.00. So I figure I got a good deal. I sprayed it down and it's good as new. Lance just didn't have to put it together.

Nursery!!!!

Trevor is finally 18 months and can go to the nursery. I have been waiting for this day. Hollie is still a cling on to me at church and will not stay in her class by herself. But Trevor ran in there and didn't look back. He did so good. This is his first picture!
Hollie is now in Sunbeams and I went to primary today! It was a little different enviroment than the nursery and I actually loved to sit in sharing time and sing songs. A couple I didn't know but Hollie got to pick to sing the popcorn song. Hopefully she gets used to primary and will stay so I can have a couple hours ALONE!

New Phone!

Last week I got some good news that I was getting a new phone. I was getting a bonus at work for a huge job i did and was needing a phone REAL bad. Thanks Ron and Joanie. Having it flip like a keyboard makes it so much easier to text. Now I just need to figure out how to put some cool ring tones on it.
