"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Trunk or Treating

A couple of nights ago Our ward had their Trunk or Treat. I forgot my camera and cell pictures don't turn out so good. Sorry! this year Hollie wanted to be a "GOOD" witch and trevor is a bat "Edward" for all you Twilight fans. One of my young women painted Edward on his forehead. They had a lot of fun and even went in the haunted house the young men did inside.

Time out!

We have really been using the time out chair alot latley. Hollie knows that she has to sit there for 3 minutes and in a couple of months it's going to be 4 minutes. Super Nanny says a minute for every years old they are. Well this morning I was checking my email and I heard a sippy cup his Trevor in the head and he start to cry. Then I hear Hollie kinda freak out and run to him and hug him and say oh Trevor I'm sorry. THEN I heard her say I'm gonna go sit on the time out chair. I laughed so hard and tried so hard to be quiet about it. But I guess it comes to show that she is actually ynderstanding what the time out chair is for.

Ever have a WET cell phone?

Tech TLC
Have you or any of your kids dropped your cell phone in water? Mine ended up in the pool this summer.
Try this:
Don't try to turn it on. Remove the battery and seal both it and the device in tupperwareg witha silica gel pac (found in a new purse, or in a new shoe box, or even in a bag of beef jerky). Put the lid on and wait a day for the gel to absorb the liquid before reassembling it and turning it on.

First Day of Pre-School!

My little girl is growing so fast. Today was her first day of Preschool. I've been really stressed out about it because she is so ATTACHED to my hip and cries every Sunday because she doesn't want to go to Primary. She has been really excited about school. Her whole class if kids from church so I'm hoping it will make Sundays easier. I took her in and she immedietly went for all the toys. when it was time for me to leave I said ok Hollie it's time for me to go. She said ok mommie. She did sooo good. No crying or whining or anything. I'm sooo relieved. Trevor was the one with the problem. The whole way home he cried and kept saying, "Hollie, Hollie". Poor guy.

Meow

Last year for halloween Hollie was a cat. Everytime she sees me putting on my eye liner she remembers that I used it to make her nose and wiskers. So the other day she asked me to make her a cat. Of course Trevor did too. So we were cats that day.

Homemade Laundry Detergent

I came across this blog today and she had her recipe for homemade laundry detergent. You can make it for around $6.00. Plus the supplies last for about 2 years. Saving tons of money.

New Kids on The Block

I was a HUGE fan of NKOTB. My huddy makes fun of me because I'm excited that they are coming in concert. I'm hoping it works out that I will be able to go see them. I still have somewhere in a box, posters, pillows, buttons, (ken) dolls and more. My new favorite show is Rachel Ray. Well today she mentioned that New Kids on The Block are going to be on her show tomorrow (Tuesday) and 9:00 on channel 2. If you were/are a huge fan don't forget to watch. My favorite was Joey. But I've always thought Donny was H-O-T. Who was yours?

Look what I found

This was a scary sight. I can't believe someone did this. It had to have been Hollie cause I don't think Trevor could reach. I'm so glad she didn't get electricuted. OH MY GOSH what's next.

I wanna Drive

These shopping cart cars make shopping so much easier. For one the kids aren't in the basket taking up all you room and smashing the bread, and it keeps them entertained so they don't get bored too fast. I get so excited when I go to a store and see that they have these. EVERY store needs these. They need to have two steering wheels so they don't fight over it.

Goooooooaaaaaallllllllll!!!!

My brother Scott went to Argentina on his mission. Being a soccer player myself I asked him to bring home uniforms for the kids. I forgot about them and saw them the other day. Hollie put hers on and wanted to send Scottie a picture. Notice her ballet shoes.

Bugs!!!

Trevor is defintly all boy. He is really into bugs right now. He's not afraid. My parents have a peach tree in their back yard and those huge beetles love to eat them. Well Trevor kept finding them on the ground and touched them and picked up the dead ones. OH MY GOSH! I hate those things.

Air Kids Party Zone

Tuesday we decided to go to the Air Kids Party Zone in Corona.

Hollie and Trevor had so much fun. They even climbed up the BIG slide and loved it.

This is the big slide. I even went on it a couple of times. it was a good work out. Trevor kept wanting to get in this little space. he kept saying Ni night.

We had so much fun. I'm gonna try to go at least once a month. Let me know. I'll plan a play date. The owner said if we come with a group of 10 kids. They will each get $2.00 off.

We're bored!!!

The other day we were in desperate need to get out of the house. I remembered at the Riverside Plaza on Central they have a little area that has water fountains. So I took the kids over and let them get SOAKED!!! We then walked over to a grass area and let them run around to kinda dry off. Then we saw a little Trolly and took a ride around the plaza. Trevor loved it. He kept saying, "Choo-Choo".
