"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Baskin-Robbins 31 Cent Scoop NightBaskin-Robbins, known for its "31 flavors," is dropping per-scoop prices to 31 cents tonight in honor of future and current firefighters.

The scoop discount runs today only from 5 to 10 p.m. at select stores and proceeds from the 31 Cent Scoop Night sales will go toward a $100,000 donation to the National Volunteer Fire Council's National Junior Firefighter Program.

Potty training

Today we went and got Trevor his own "big boy" underwear and a new potty that is just for him. we got home and put his Handy Manny undies on and he sat down a couple times and couldn't go. then i kinda layed off a bit and was cleaning up toys and Hollie yelled at me from the kitchen that Trevor was going. He went in and sat down and went all by himself. He's growing up soooo fast.

Tiny fisherman

So with a daddy who is addicted to fishing we had to get the kids their own fishing poles. We got them some pretty nice ones at walmart for $12.00. Then for Easter gramma Cherie and granda Russ got them poles that they can "play" with. Trevor loves his so much he fell asleep holding it.

Buddies

The past couple of weeks i have been in primary teaching Hollie's class. Two weeks ago i was sitting behind them and had to take a picture of Hollie and her friend Tyson. It was way too cute not too.

My "other" little artist

Trevor has started to like to draw and color. This past week he has started drawing circles. he does them pretty well.

Feeding the ducks

The other day we went to feed the ducks with some friends. The kids loved it and had a fun time. We will definetly do it again.

Memories

We have been cable-less for the past month and I'm slowly adjusting. This morning when I turned on the t.v. Saved by the Bell was on. I was hooked and used to watch EVERY episode when it was on. I even met Screech and have a picture with him and thought I was so "cool". So this morning I've watched 2 shows so far. I went to change it to a cartoon for the kids and Hollie said, "No mommy I like this show".

Best Friends

The other day the kids were both in the back yard playing and I heard Hollie say to Trevor, "Your are my best friend little brother." and Trevor said, "Thanks you Hollie". It was the sweetest thing.

Sponge curlers

When me and my sister were little my mom would alway braid our hair and put a sponge curler at the bottom. I have some but hollie has always hated when I touch her hair. Well the night before easter i convinced her to let me do it. It didn't turn out too good the next morning but she let me do it. Next time I will probably just do the curlers.

Coloring Easter Eggs part 1

While ate Grammas house we colored eggs. The kids had so much fun. i wish i would have taken pictures of their hands. they were almost black from using their hands to fish out the eggs.

Quack Quack

The other day we were visiting my mom and the kids were driving me crazy. We needed to get out. So my mom and i took them to the park to play. they had a fun time and then we got some company. These three ducks came to play. The white one was kinda mean. He was growling at us. They weren't scared oh Hollie and Trevor and would almost let them touch em. Next time we will bring bread for them.

Kindergarten check up

Here she is getting ready for the Dr. she first got her finger pricked for a blood test.

Last week Hollie had her kindergarten Dr. Appt. She had a shot in each arm one in her leg and the T.B. shot in her fore arm. She did pretty good except for the last one. She screamed no more no more and I had to hold her down. Glad it's over with. Now we just got to go to the school and register. I can't believe she will got to a BIG school this year. Like the dora undies. For some reason she never wants her pants on.

Helping out

While in Utah a couple months ago my friend Jennifer would give Carson the vacuum hose and have him vacuum for her. One day we had pop corn and it ALL ended up all over the carpet. So I thought of this trick and the kids fought a little but eventually got it all cleaned up and had fun at the same time.
