"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

My little Guinnie Pig!

About a month ago I got a letter in the mail from UCR letting me know that they were doing a study with the baby einstein dvd and how they affect little kids. they have to be between 18-24 months old. I decided to call and when I found out that I would be paid $25.00 at each visit and I'll end up going 4 times, I figured it would be a fun thing for me AND Trevor to go do. So the first time we went I filled out a bunch of paperwork and Trevor played with some toys. then we went into another room and he did some activities. The guy set out a bunch of different pictures and asked Trevor to pint to certain ones. He did pretty good. There was other activities too and he did well also.
The second time we went he played on the floor for a little bit and then went and did the picture thing.

We've only been two times but they gave us a dvd to watch five different time in between visits and I have to monitor him and write down things he does.
If anyone is interested to get paid to go watch your kids play let me know and I'll get you the number. By the way they video tape parts of it too. Maybe he will end up on a DVD. That would be cool.
