"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Happy birthday Mom and Jeff!

I meant to do a post for my moms birthday which was on the 9th of this month and just decided to do one to honor her and my brother Jeff who's birthday was yesterday. Last night we went to Red Robbin to celebrate. With all the fries and ranch we had a good time. Hollie and Trevor both like to dip their fries. NO ketchup, ONLY ranch.

Trevor giving a birthday smooch with a pizza face and Hollie getting the birthday sundae shoved in her face. Thanks for dinner dad and Happy birthday Mom and Jeffy!

Our Red Robin has good fry sauce, you should see if yours has it too! They make it with BBQ sauce.

Carson has a comment for your post as well:

Sarah I'm so glad you found my email so I could get your blog updates. Your kids are so darling and grown up. Nice work on the salsa recipe! I don't know how to vote on your poll because I don't ever remember you as anything but blonde, but you will be adorable no matter what!
